Some farmers’ crops were burnt, while others were on the verge of burning. Due to this, the farmers here were in financial crisis. Meanwhile, the good news for Pune and Ahmednagar districts along with Solapur is that the water storage of Ujani dam has started increasing, the dam has come down to minus 32 percent. Now the hopes of the citizens along with the farmers have been boosted by the heavy rains of late. Farmers are hoping that the stalled sugarcane cultivation will resume as the water storage is increasing.
