England scored 463 runs in reply to Australia’s 473 in the first innings. Tammy was the batsman who played the biggest innings for England. She faced 331 balls and scored 208 runs with the help of 27 fours. She completed her double century in 317 balls and became the first woman cricketer to score a century in Test cricket for England. She became the eighth female cricketer in the world to do so. It was the biggest knock of Tammy’s Test cricket career.

Tammy Beaumont has now become the first England player to score the most individual runs in women’s Test cricket, breaking Elizabeth Snowbell’s record. Snowbell scored 189 runs for England in Test cricket 88 years ago in 1935. Apart from this, Tammy Beaumont has now moved up to the fifth highest run-scorer in women’s Test cricket. Seven other players have reached the 200-run mark in women’s Test cricket before Tammy.
